Buried Bloodline is an Exotic sidearm available to players upon completing Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon in Destiny 2. This weapon features special ammunition that tracks projectiles, Hungering Quarrel as an intrinsic trait and the Splitvein Lineage Catalyst that weakens enemies with each final strike.
To unlock this Exotic, players will need to complete three puzzles within a Dungeon and defeat its final boss – here are some tips on doing just that!
Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon
With the latest addition to Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish, Guardians can now assault a castle high above the EDZ called Warlord’s Ruin. PvE content in Warlord’s Ruin offers Guardians an opportunity to earn fantastic gear like Buried Bloodline Exotic Sidearm through challenging PVE content; but how? By solving its puzzles. Here is your guide on exactly how!
After defeating the first boss in the dungeon, players will reach a series of prison cells leading up to a gate. At each cell lies a skeleton which points towards a number corresponding to how many gears need to be spun clockwise in one direction and anticlockwise before shooting the device that reveals a treasure chest – this puzzle uses Buried Bloodline.
Once this task is accomplished, three out of the four torches placed behind the gate will illuminate. This puzzle requires using Buried Bloodline and upon completion will unlock a treasure chest where players can find Buried Bloodline Catalyst which reduces enemy damage on hit and increases your reload speed while devour is active.
After finding and solving the second and third puzzles of the dungeon, players can advance further into its ruins. A Taken Blight that can only be broken with Buried Bloodline will appear hidden away near a corner; shooting it will grant their fireteam a 30-second buff called ‘Imminent Wish’ as three out of four torches behind gates will light up as an indicator.
Once the final puzzle in a dungeon has been completed, Guardians may face Primeval Thressia for battle; should they prevail, they will receive the Buried Bloodline Exotic Sidearm as their reward – this weapon deals VOID damage and can be equipped in either of your secondary/energy slots; you may pair it with any legendary or exotic holster for added reload speed and melee attack damage potential.
In the Shadow of the Mountain
The Buried Bloodline Exotic Sidearm is the latest weapon to join Destiny 2’s arsenal. A Special ammunition sidearm, it comes equipped with many unique benefits that synergize well with certain builds both PvP and PvE; such as increasing shot kills for Void builds in PvP. In addition, this weapon features an innovative Catalyst which temporarily weakens enemies on impact – adding further appeal.
To unlock the Buried Bloodline Exotic and Catalyst, players need to complete multiple runs through Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon introduced with Season of the Wish. This raid-like dungeon requires six or seven players in a party for entry; its layout features various puzzles and encounters before ending at Hefnd’s Vengeance with its final boss battle; once defeated, access will be granted to both items!
Buried Bloodline may not be easy to acquire in Destiny 2, but it remains an effective weapon when combined with the appropriate PvE and PvP builds. Although not optimal for AoE add-clearing in PvE (there are superior Exotic weapons to help in this regard), its unique firepower in PvP offers unique advantage and activates Devour more easily than other weapons can.
The Buried Bloodline Exotic is an RNG-dropped Exotic that will randomly appear whenever you defeat Hefnd’s Vengeance, the final boss in Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon. Although Bungie has yet to reveal an exact drop rate estimate of around 5% for these Dungeon Exotics, there are a few specific Triumphs you can complete that will increase your odds of unlocking this Dungeon-Exotic.
Primeval Thressia
Buried Bloodline, an Exotic sidearm exclusive to Guardians, can now be acquired, though doing so takes considerable effort and time. This crossbow-like weapon features special ammo that drains health while giving players Devour. With devastating AoE damage capabilities and its leech rounds that give Devour bonuses, Buried Bloodline adds another competitive edge for Warlocks, Titans and Hunters in PvP builds.
Warlord’s Ruin offers access to this sidearm weapon, although its initial drop chance may seem low; however, you can increase it significantly by completing its challenges and final boss who possess an Exotic Catalyst that increases it even more.
Players will soon come upon the Cairn Chamber that houses Primeval Thressia as they make their way through prison cells and a gate, following which they’ll find her secret boss Primeval Thressia. Just like with other dungeon bosses, her fight begins with an invulnerability phase that’s cleared by activating certain devices; three torches surrounding Primeval Thressia will light up to initiate this phase, where players can then DPS her.
Once the invulnerability phase concludes, players must use the lit torches as guidance to move to Totems that match up with lit torches on Totems to break down Thressia’s shield and fire away at her with impunity until her health has been depleted. Expect this mechanic to repeat itself several times until Thressia falls and you have access to Catalyst (and its bonus chest in the room).
While this weapon can make for an excellent upgrade in Void builds, it should not be seen as the top Special or Exotic choice in-game; players should seek alternative weapon choices if they wish to maximize gear scores and level faster. That being said, this weapon should still be pursued if time and resources allow.
Gamingcy’s Sherpas provide a convenient Buried Bloodline Boosting Service. Our team of expert players can run the final checkpoint of Master difficulty three times every week until this elusive item has been secured.
Taken Blights
Once players have successfully navigated through multiple runs of Warlord’s Ruin and collected Hefnd’s bones and Dark Ether Tincture, they can unlock the Buried Bloodline Exotic sidearm with its Catalyst. This requires multiple runs through the dungeon while solving puzzles and defeating a hidden boss to gain this powerful weapon.
Step one in unlocking the Buried Bloodline Catalyst is taking part in Heroic Public Event. This version offers a unique mechanic that makes completing it much simpler: when players reach the final area of a dungeon there will be a large Taken Blight which can be damaged by placing yourself inside one of its smaller blights; doing this activates Blight Receding buff allowing players to damage this large Taken Blight; when this expires a Blightmaker boss appears which must be defeated to complete event and earn Catalyst as reward!
This catalyst offers an invaluable feature to Void subclass players: whenever the gun triggers Devour, it also launches tracking bolts that allow players to see enemies on their radar and weaken them for 15 percent of their max health – providing extra damage while still ensuring enemies are taken down swiftly. This makes for an excellent way to add additional damage while still quickly clearing away enemies.
Once they’ve defeated Thressia, players should continue exploring the dungeon to collect the final two items needed for Catalyst. This may require repeating several runs through Prison Cells stage where there’s a small Taken Blight that can be shot with Buried Bloodline to trigger Imminent Wish buff and light three of the torches behind gate; reading these torches left-to-right activates devices necessary for clearing puzzles and completes it successfully.
After activating all three final torches and activating the Imminent Wish buff again, players can shoot one final Taken Blight near the exit from the dungeon to trigger another set of torches and devices that can be read as before; when this is completed by extinguishing torches or activating devices that correspond, this puzzle can then be completed revealing Catalysts for Buried Bloodlines.
