Buried Bloodline is an exceptionally potent sidearm available through Warlord’s Ruin dungeon and can strengthen void builds for Titan, Hunter and Warlock classes in both PvE and PvP environments. When combined with its catalyst, this weapon provides powerful support to enhance any build regardless of type or class.
To obtain this item, players must first complete three small puzzles involving shooting Taken Blights for Imminent Wish buffs that spawn torches that must be lit.
Complete the Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon
Destiny 2’s dungeons offer some of the most exciting content in the game. Tighter and more focused than raids, dungeons give players an opportunity to earn exclusive rewards such as Exotic sidearms. Season of the Wish introduces Warlord’s Ruin with its exclusive Buried Bloodline Exotic sidearm which can only be unlocked by completing it on Legendary or Master difficulty. In order to unlock it quickly and earn its Exotic sidearm you’ll have to complete three encounters, defeat bosses, and solve its puzzles – this guide will assist in walking through and completing it faster while defeating its Bosses faster!
First, visit the EDZ Director Screen and collect Ikora’s Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon quest from Ikora. After collecting your quest, head into the dungeon and take on Rathil, Broken Knight Chieftain Locus of Wailing Grief or Hefnd’s Vengeance; each encounter presents unique challenges but all revolve around its core mechanic: Taken Totem system which involves shooting smaller versions of Taken Blight found at its start in order to activate torches in accordance with its pattern based on a pattern of shots taken against smaller Taken Totem systems within it.
Once you’ve defeated one of the bosses, you’ll be transported to a final platform with a giant eye that periodically spawns. Your goal here should be to deal damage and kill as many eyes before they respawn; balance attacking the boss with killing eyes to achieve success here. Hiding behind pillars may help prevent taking damage from the boss itself as well.
Players looking to increase their odds of claiming an Exotic in any dungeon should team up with three other brave Guardians and use a fireteam composition that prioritizes DPS and debuffs, such as Nightstalker or Gunslinger subclasses which excel at high damage output and precision during critical boss phases. Furthermore, weapon classes that leverage Season of Wish buffs such as Thunderlord Machine Gun may prove particularly advantageous as these generate lightning strikes to generate Final Blows or continuous damage over time.
Complete the In the Shadow of the Mountain Quest
Bungie’s Season of the Wish has seen the release of an Exotic weapon to Warlord’s Ruin: Thunderlord Machine Gun is an exceptional Void sidearm designed for AoE add-clearing and boss damage, while Buried Bloodline Catalyst takes it further by offering an Unrelenting perk that grants Devour upon scoring several final blows, making this weapon ideal for PvE or Void builds alike.
In order to unlock the Buried Bloodline Exotic and its accompanying catalyst, players must complete various tasks and puzzles within Warlord’s Ruin dungeon. These may include solving small puzzles, clearing away environmental corruption and killing Thian Wretches for Amara bones collection. Players will also need to shoot Taken Blights in order to trigger some puzzles as well as activating torches on floating rocks and pillars as part of progressing further in the dungeon.
At the start of their adventure in the Dungeon, players must solve three puzzles to successfully pass. After clearing away an Ogre from one room, players should observe a small gate that can only be unlocked with Buried Bloodline; this leads to another puzzle wherein guns should be fired at torches on walls to activate them before heading down into the bottom-left corner of the Dungeon and encountering its final challenge – another gate to open using Buried Bloodline can then unlock another small gate containing another small gate containing Buried Bloodline to open up another puzzle that leads them down into another part of dungeon experience!
As they work their way through each puzzle, players must aim their weapons at a series of lighted torches on floating rock pillars that correspond with Darkness Totems found throughout the dungeon and match each one with its respective totem to progress further.
As soon as players complete the In the Shadow of the Mountain Quest and solve all three puzzles in Warlord’s Ruin dungeon, they will gain access to the Buried Bloodline Exotic and its Catalyst. This weapon features Hungering Quarrel perk which doubles tracking bolts fired, while its Catalyst allows any precision final blow to overflow your magazine for additional shots. While you may gain this Exotic through other means (Vanguard, Crucible or Gambit playlist matches etc), earning Wicked Implement catalyst will make its acquisition much simpler.
Complete the Catalyst Puzzle
If you’re playing Destiny 2, you may have noticed that certain weapons seem far more effective than others. This is due to Catalysts being attached, unlocking extra perks and making the weapon stronger than before. Exotic weapons also offer unique perks that match perfectly with certain builds.
Bungie has made it simple and fast for players to obtain these Catalysts by creating two locations where players can upgrade their Exotic weapons quickly – Last Wish Raid has an encounter with Shuro Chi that provides ample enemies that make upgrading weapons quick and painless, while Grasp of Avarice Dungeon features an entire room devoted solely to teaching players the mechanics behind upgrading weapons in your arsenal.
Once you’ve visited both of these locations, it’s time to head over to Warlord’s Ruin and solve three puzzles in order to unlock Buried Bloodline’s Catalyst – but remember, you cannot gain this access until after earning its sidearm itself!
The first puzzle in Catalyst is straightforward: simply walk into a room containing six statues and activate those indicated by torches that light up. This will open a portal into another room containing an enemy you must shoot down with Buried Bloodline before three torches appear showing which Darkness Totems need to be activated in sequence before Primeval Thressia appears and needs to be killed off to gain Catalyst.
Once all these steps have been fulfilled, equip the Buried Bloodline Catalyst onto your Rocket Launcher and enjoy its added advantages. Its main perk increases magazine capacity to four rounds while its final blow can create a faster version of itself at target locations – an effective combination that should come in handy both PvE and PvP scenarios – it makes this Exotic Catalyst worth your while in Destiny 2. Enjoy your upgraded Rocket Launcher Guardians!
Defeat Primeval Thressia
Once players complete all three puzzles in Warlord’s Ruin on Legend difficulty, they will face Primeval Thressia of Servitor faction and defeat her, they will earn the Buried Bloodline Exotic sidearm and Catalyst that transforms it into an effective Void weapon for both PvE and PvP use.
Similar to other exotic weapons found in dungeon and raid instances, this one drops randomly from the final boss of each dungeon, making it unlikely for players to obtain it on their first try. But there are ways of increasing your odds by unlocking Triumphs associated with it faster.
In the Shadow of the Mountain is home to one such puzzle; completion will open a special route leading directly into the final dungeon encounter and increase your odds of finding and acquiring it. Two others can be found by solving three smaller puzzles within it. Each requires using Buried Bloodline on targets around a room to shoot at, activating devices that open doors that unlock torches according to patterns on nearby rocks and pillars and reading these in order from left to right before activating devices in their order; players then must complete each puzzle within its time limit before activating all three devices within that particular room in order to complete it successfully.
Players in the second of these puzzles will find themselves in a large jump room featuring parkour and numerous doorways to traverse. Their objective is to shoot at one of these doorways to trigger an Imminent Wish buff that lights torches throughout the room based on patterns found on several pillars and rocks, then reading these torches from left to right and activating devices that correspond will unlock a Buried Bloodline Catalyst.
Guardians will enter an enormous spire location containing stone doors on all sides and a blight device in the center, equipped with torches that need to be read in a certain order in order to activate blight devices and unlock a burst shield enabling them to breach it and defeat Primeval Thressia, followed by a DPS phase and chest on their left containing both their weapon and Catalyst.
